CORPUS CHRISTI -
Rob Hannabass hired a moving company and was left with thousands of dollars worth of damage.
After the move, Hannabass was left with thousands of dollars of damage in dented appliances, scratched and broken furniture, grease on a mattress and even permanent driveway stains from leaking truck oil.
"They said they didn't do it. They swore on the Bible they didn't do it and were like okay wow," Hannabass said.
After seeing all of the damage, and before making his payment, Hannabass confronted the company and asked for an insurance claim.
Not to his surprise, the company denied his request and demanded payment, saying they would return all of the household goods back to where they moved them from.
A few days later, he received a text message from the owner in which his complaints were dismissed and even ridiculed.
Moving companies are required to register with the state and the federal government. Texas also requires the companies to obtain liability and cargo insurance.
